Cancellations: Once you enroll, we rely on your attendance.

Class size is often limited and cancelling at the last minute or failing to attend without notice impedes the learning experience for others and an empty seat may also be a missed opportunity for someone who was turned away from a full class. Therefore, we ask that you make every effort to get approval from your supervisor, clear your calendar and arrange for coverage in your absence, in advance.

To cancel, please email talentdev@pace.edu as far in advance as possible and/or try to find a substitute to take your place.

Management Development

  • High-quality feedback is constructive, behavioral, and actionable, aiding individuals in understanding their strengths, areas for improvement, and the steps necessary for growth and achievement. High-quality feedback is important, but we don't always give it. Why? Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to recognize elements of giving high-quality feedback and identify barriers to giving feedback and how to overcome them.

  • In a psychologically safe environment, people are empowered to voice their needs, ideas, and concerns, to ask questions, and to admit mistakes 鈥 all without fear of repercussions. Attendees can expect to examine characteristics and benefits of a psychologically safe environment and identify ways within their control to contribute to psychological safety on teams.

  • Synchrony is an alignment of patterns of neurological, emotional, and physiological activity between individuals, which can result in increased empathy, support, rapport, learning, and processing speed, leading to higher rated engagement and performance. In this workshop, attendees can expect to explore the role of synchrony in enhancing team engagement and collaboration, examine the current level of synchrony on their team, and distinguish between types of work that benefit from high levels of synchrony versus those that benefit from lower levels.

  • In order to be successful leaders, managers must learn to take on difficult conversations. Through this workshop, we will break down some essential steps to help you get ready for difficult conversations with confidence and empathy. These steps will provide you with a structured approach to get ready, making it easier to handle challenging discussions without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you're dealing with unplanned encounters or providing feedback to your team, these strategies will help you turn potentially stressful interactions into productive dialogues. During this workshop, you鈥檒l learn how to overcome conversation barriers, gain tools for preparing to engage in difficult conversations, and have constructive, meaningful, and courageous conversations.

Professional Development

  • Have you ever attended a meeting or presentation that left you feeling frustrated? Despite their reputation for sometimes wasting time, meetings remain one of the most effective tools for sharing information, presenting ideas, and making decisions - if facilitated well. In this workshop, you'll learn how to kick off meetings, how to ensure maximum participation and buy-in, what to do when meetings go off track, when to intervene, and how to deal with productivity problems. You'll also learn how to close and follow up on a meeting.

  • In this workshop, participants learn how to meet stakeholder needs by adapting steps to take control of a service conversation. These steps include recognizing barriers to effective conversations, distinguishing how to open the conversations in a way that gain confidence and cooperation, building a strategic mix of open and closed questions, sharing clear and correct information, delivering unwelcome news and presenting options in a constructive manner, and closing a conversation by highlighting positive outcomes.

  • This training is ideal for anyone who needs to be clear, concise, and persuasive when presenting ideas to colleagues, prospects, or stakeholders in a virtual environment. This workshop will help you maximize your ability to successfully communicate in a virtual world.

  • This True Colors workshop provides a fun and easy to remember way for participants to explore their own and their co-workers distinctive personality traits. The participants learn to respect and appreciate those differences in the ways people function. This translates into better work relationships, improved teamwork and more communication. In this workshop, you will learn how to identify your color spectrum, distinguish strengths, values, joys and motivations, gain insight into what makes others tick, and recognize the commonalities and differences of personality styles.
