Middle States Self-Study 2027

In Fall 2024, Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵlaunched the reaccreditation process which will culminate in a peer evaluation visit in spring 2027. This process affirms our commitment to our students and our community to ensure that our educational experience meets the Middle States Commission on Higher Education Standards of Accreditation.

Questions about the the 2027 Middle States Self-Study

  • The Self-Study is a self-reflective analysis of Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ’s adherence to Middle States Standards of Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation (14th Edition). It focuses on how we meet the standards and on institutional improvement.

    Accreditation is required to: receive Title IV funding; be eligible for federal research grants; have our transfer credits accepted; and to be recognized for our achievements.

    The Self-Study is a 24-30 month process of data collection and analysis by cross-functional teams of faculty, staff, administrators, and students that culminates in a visit by a team of peer evaluators who issue a report to the Middle States Commission (March 2027)

  • We will need up to 30 faculty and 30 staff to participate in Working Groups. Working Groups will collect and evaluate data to assess our compliance with each standard. We need input from every corner of the university to successfully complete the Self-Study.
