For all full-time employees (with the exception of tenured faculty members), if Short-Term Disability benefits exhaust after 26 weeks, and you are still unable to return to work due to disability (following the maximum of 26 weeks of leave), you may elect to file for Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefits (if eligible); however, regardless of approval or eligibility for LTD, your position will no longer be held and your employment with Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ will end. If you are subsequently able to return to work, following your separation from the University, you may apply for any open position for which you are professionally qualified; however, your application will proceed through the standard competitive hiring process.
