At ̾Ƶ, we believe in recognizing student achievement. To honor our highest achieving students, those in the top percentage of their class are invited to join the honor society associated with their class standing. If eligible to join, students will receive an invitation via their ̾Ƶemail.

    Alpha Lambda Delta logo

    Founded in 1924, is a national honor society for first-year students and has 260+ nationally recognized chapters. ALD began at ̾Ƶin the Spring of 2012, and has chapters on both the New York City and Pleasantville campuses. ALD members are highlighted at graduation with honor cords.

    Alpha Lambda Delta is a great way to meet other students committed to academic excellence. Our students build close friendships and frequently refer to their “ALD family.” (Alpha Lambda Delta, National Honor Society for First-Year Students, Brochure, 2016)

    Students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average and rank in the top 20% of their class after their first fall semester at ̾Ƶwill be invited to join. Alpha Lambda Delta offers students the opportunity to meet and interact with other high achieving ̾Ƶ students as they plan and participate in community service and campus activities. Students are also provided an opportunity to learn about and develop leadership skills if they are active members and take on executive board positions.

    is a national honor society whose purpose is to recognize the academic achievements of transfer students, .

    All full-time ̾Ƶ transfer students with at least one full year's academic credit satisfied at their prior institution who achieve a minimum of a 3.5 GPA (or an academic average that places the prospective candidate in the top 20% of all incoming transfer students) during their first semester at ̾Ƶ are eligible to join. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive a letter of invitation from Tau Sigma after the completion of your first semester.
