Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Requirements For Federal & Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵFunded Financial Aid
As a student, your academic progress is reviewed at the end of each Spring semester and you must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements to continue to receive financial aid from certain Federal and/or institutional aid programs.
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) has two-fold criteria with a Qualitative and a Quantitative component. To meet the Qualitative component, students must have the required cumulative quality point average (QPA) for the number of credits attempted. To meet the Quantitative component, students must stay on track to complete their degree within the 150% (length of program x 1.5) maximum time frame by passing the percentage of the total credits they have attempted as indicated in the charts below.

Important Academic Progress Quick Facts for all Student Levels at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ
- Academic Progress is reviewed in June of each year following the end of the Spring semester.
- Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements include a minimum:
- Cumulative QPA (not semester-by-semester)
- Overall course completion rate (number of credits you have registered for and attended vs. number of credits you have completed and passed).
- Withdrawals ("W" Grades) count towards your completion rate.
- Only courses completed at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ count towards a student's cumulative QPA.
- Transfer courses taken at other institutions only count towards a student's completion rate.
- Degree Programs may require different Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements. Review your specific program and student-level requirements by reviewing the specific SAP policy guides above.
