Joe has taught English learners for 17 years mostly at a private language school in NYC, where he also served as the academic coordinator and a member of the academic committee. He then transitioned to language programs in higher education first at Baruch College then at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵafter receiving his M.A. in TESOL from Southeast Missouri State University. He also has a Bachelor's in Journalism and a B.A. in Russian from the University of Missouri.

Joe enjoys helping students gain the language skills necessary for success in their academic programs and in helping to strengthen their grammar for speaking and writing. He also teaches English to immigrants at a community center in Brooklyn and helps learners with TOEFL preparation.

Joe is a wanna-be polyglot. He is currently working on his French, Russian, Spanish, German, Japanese, and Chinese. He spent some time in Russia in the '90s studying the language and more recently in Japan where his wife's family lives.
