Andrew has been teaching English (among other topics) for over 15 years, beginning as an undergraduate student at Tufts University studying abroad in Santiago, Chile. The majority of his experience has been working in public schools, first in Massachusetts and now in New York City. As a public educator, Andrew sought opportunities to teach adults and family members in the community and knows how important language learning is in order to achieve individual and collective growth.
Andrew is fluent in Spanish, and spent two years as a bilingual social studies teacher in the New York City Public Schools. Andrew is currently a doctoral student at Teachers College, Columbia University, studying curriculum and teaching, and has enjoyed his work at the university level.
In his free time, he loves exploring by bicycle, and enjoys the challenge of navigating New York's busy streets safely, but also appreciates a more peaceful ride on a bike path with a nice view.
