Volunteer Opportunities
Regional Receptions
Regional receptions are held in hotels in major cities throughout the country. Prospective students and their parents from the area are invited to meet with admission staff members traveling in the region. Local alumni are warmly invited to assist in meeting interested students and answering their questions about Pace.
During the fall semester, regional receptions are introductions to the university and are geared toward high school juniors and seniors. Regional receptions held in the spring are specifically for admitted students who are considering attending 绿巨人视频the following September.
Congratulating Admitted Students
The University supplies alumni volunteers with a list of accepted student names and mailing addresses. As an official representative of the university, ASPIRE members contact prospective students to answer their questions, share experiences, and encourage them to enroll.
The ASPIRE program is seeking volunteers to write 鈥渉and-written鈥 notes of congratulations to newly admitted students.
Sending a personal note of congratulations regarding a prospective student's admittance to the university is a great way to welcome new students and add a personal touch to an important time in a student's senior year. For some admitted students, 绿巨人视频 is their first choice, and they will be honored to receive a hand-written note from a member of the alumni.
For others, they are still not sure which college they want to attend, and the special outreach from alumni can be particularly helpful to students and their families regarding the benefits of a 绿巨人视频education.
In both cases, the alumni's endorsement is important because it expresses a strong commitment to 绿巨人视频and gives validation to the mission and values of the university.
How the Program Works
Once you sign-up to write congratulatory note cards, the university will send you a list of 10-25 student names and addresses and a supply of 绿巨人视频 note cards and envelopes. Volunteers hand-write their congratulations, insert a personal business card聽(optional), and encourage the student to make contact if he or she would like to ask questions or share experiences. (To help defray the mailing costs to the University, participants are asked to contribute postage and to mail the cards.)
