Prepare For Success in Financial Operations and Technology

Our MS in Financial Operations and Technology prepares students for jobs related to the development and marketing of financial products and solutions that have a strong technological component, such as securities trading, portfolio management, banking, payment services, credit services, and insurance. The program is targeted toward students who have an interest in technology and a desire to enter the world of operational finance, as well as students with an undergraduate or graduate background in general business who wish to learn more about technology to bring their business skills to bear on the implementation of IT-based solutions to finance problems.

Grow Your Interdisciplinary Skillset

  • Learn the basics of finance, investment management and corporate financial management, financial products, and the operation of financial markets.
  • Master the fundamentals of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, blockchain, distributed ledger processing, data mining, machine learning, and other similar technologies and their finance applications.
  • Acquire skills that are key in understanding how new financial products are integrated into organizations–the marketing of these new IT-based products, the management of technology, and the impact of these new products in the valuation of firms.

Program Highlights

The program culminates in a case-based capstone course that examines how financial products have been and can be used in different organizations. Students interested in working for firms that sell IT-based products that address finance needs, firms that use these products, or those with career interests in the financial technologies sector (e.g., security analyst positions) stand much to gain from all this program has to offer.
