How do I make an appointment to utilize the space?
See our Book a Studio page and email us.
Is editing support available?
Yes, iMacs in our editing suites are equipped with iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
How can I save, transport, and edit the files I create in the OLC?
Faculty should bring USB 3.0 drives to the OLC, as we do not provide them. Back-up storage will be provided for 30 days.
What are the hours of the OLC?
10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments should be made even during open hours.
Will virtual assistance be provided, too?
Yes, staff provide consultations and tutorials for at-home best practices.
What kind of technical preparedness do I need?
It depends on what capacity you are planning on using the center. In general, center staff are available to support faculty with tutorials and troubleshooting. Please bring a USB 3.0 drive for storage, which is sufficiently fast for handling video files.
Will students have access to the OLC?
No, the OLC was created strictly for faculty use.
Is the OLC affiliated with Pace’s Instructional Design team?
Yes, Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵOnline manages both the OLC and the Instructional Design team. We anticipate much collaboration between the two. For example, if a faculty member develops a course but still need to embed media into then the OLC staff will work with the Instructional Design team to get a better understanding of the purpose of the media in terms of how it ties into other materials and projects being utilized in a specific module.
