Born and raised in a Transylvanian town in Romania, Alina holds an EdD in Higher Education Leadership Management and Policy from Seton Hall University, an MA in International Education from NYU, and a BA in International Studies from City College of NY, CUNY. Alina also holds a Certificate of Independent Education Consultant from the University of California, Irvine; a Certificate for Global Teaching of ESL, TESOL, TEFL, and TESL from Oxford Seminars and a Certificate from Boston College, Lynch School of Education and Human Development for Internationalizing Curriculum for All.

Alina’s research and career interest focus on the sustainability of internationalization through the advancement of international curriculum as an inclusive policy. During her academic journey, Alina presented at Diversity Abroad Conference on topics such as Diversity and Inclusion in International Academic Activities and Curriculum Abroad and she participated in various NAFSA and EAIE local and national sessions, lectured at NYU and Baruch about International Higher Education: Policies and Practices and Internationalization and Study Abroad. Alina presented her study on the University Administrators, Leadership, and Faculty on the Internationalization of Curriculum conducted at a Metropolitan Research Institution in South Africa at the ASHE 2023 Conference in Minneapolis.

At Pace, Alina oversees the academic component and curriculum mapping for international partnerships, supports initiatives for new collaborations with institutions of higher education around the globe, and assists with the development of strategies to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of international academic activities. Alina also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Science.
