Director of the Audie Award winning 30th Anniversary audiobook release of Roots and Grammy finalist The Lincoln Douglas Debates, Robin Miles is a producer/director/performer with 25 years of experience in theater and audio performance. She has garnered the industry鈥檚 top honors, including Voice of the Year, Audiofile鈥檚 Golden Voice, several Best of the Year wins and Audie Awards, Ben Franklin Awards, and Earphone Awards for both direction and performance. Her work spans audiobook, documentary film, museum installations, ADR, commercials and industrials. Her clients include Penguin/Random House, Harper Audio, Hachette Audio, Simon & Schuster, Audible, NYC鈥檚 American Museum of Natural History, AMAAHC in Washington, Chicago Art Institute, Seattle Art Museum, and World Monuments Fund. She deftly handles archaic historical texts, contemporary, and poetic works with equal agility, and is known for work with accents.
Before founding her teaching studio, Voxpertise庐, she was Assistant Professor of speech for SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theater, taught acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, ESL at Kaplan's NY International Center, and coached upper level managers for Merrill Lynch. She holds a BA in Theater Studies from Yale University, an MFA in acting from the Yale School of Drama and a certificate from the British American Drama Academie Program at Oxford.
