  • Suicidal/homicidal thoughts
  • Loss of emotional/physical control
  • Loss of connection with reality
  • Written/verbal threats

Offer to call or visit the Counseling Center with them.

Contact emergency services listed above.

Do not leave the injured person, except to call for help.

If possible, ask a bystander to help direct emergency responders.

Begin first aid if trained and feel comfortable providing care.

Be prepared to provide as much information as possible to emergency services, including:

  • Individual’s age and gender
  • Interventions performed (e.g. CPR)
  • Illness or injury circumstances (if known)
  • Level of consciousness (e.g. alert, confused, unresponsive, etc.)

If you suspect an opioid overdose, contact Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵSecurity and ask for Narcan.

The Office of Safety and Security is available to provide a walking escort service between any two points on campus 24/7. To request an escort, please contact the Security office on the appropriate campus. Please allow up to 15 minutes for the escort guard to arrive and request that they show a Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ ID.
