Biography
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES
Dr. Richardson is a Professor and Undergraduate Program Chair of the Management & Management Science Department. She joined the Lubin School of Business in 2009 and teaches a variety of courses in management and business at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Principles of Management, Managerial Negotiations, Negotiations & Bargaining, Training & Development, Contemporary Business Practice and UNV 101. Dr. Richardson’s research focuses on how individuals cope with change and the related stress that may result from major life and career transitions. She has published in Information & Organization, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Journal of Loss & Trauma: International Perspectives on Coping, and Academy of Management Proceedings, in addition to other journals.
Dr. Richardson’s meta-analysis on stress management interventions published in the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology earned the Best Paper Award for the journal, and was selected to be part of the prestigious Organizational Health and Well-being 3-volume book published in 2011. Dr. Richardson was asked to contribute to the special issue of the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology at 20 celebrating 20 years of the journal. Her article “Managing Employee Stress and Wellness in the New Millennium” was published in 2017.
Dr. Richardson was asked to be a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Occupational Psychology beginning in 2018. She has served as a journal reviewer for the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Group & Organization Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Family Issues, and the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology.
