The “rants” by the former president in the trial are “perfectly consistent” with the kind of “reckless and toxic” rhetoric he always spews out,” Bennett Gershman, a former New York prosecutor and law professor at �̾�����Ƶ, told Salon. “It’s not clear who his audience is,” Gershman said. “If it’s the jury, he’s making a mistake. His reckless and unhinged remarks will only persuade the jury to award a higher punitive damage award to punish him and silence him.”
