On September 7, 2024, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ hosted the inaugural Early Environmental Law Scholars (EELS) Conference. The goal of the Early Environmental Law Scholars is to foster community building, idea exchange, and professional development for emerging scholars in the field.

On September 6, 2024, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ hosted the eleventh annual Future Environmental Law Professors Workshop. The prestigious annual workshop is designed for Visiting Assistant Professors, Fellows, Researchers, Law Clerks, Practitioners, and others, including current students, who are currently, plan to go on, or are considering the academic teaching market in the areas of environmental law, natural resources law, food and agriculture law, energy law, land use planning, and/or ocean and coastal resources law.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ is proud to announce that has been selected to receive the 2024–2025 Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ|Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award. The Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award is presented annually to an emerging junior environmental law professor who exhibits scholarly excellence and promise at an early stage in their career. 

At a time when unprecedented marine heat waves warm 40 percent of the oceans, and much life at sea is endangered, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ is proud to recognize two distinguished women for their leadership negotiating the world’s first legal agreement to safeguard marine biodiversity.

Professor Rebecca Bratspies delivered the Annual Lloyd K. Garrison Lecture on Environmental Law on Tuesday, April 16 on "Mapping Injustice: Race, Place, and Environment in New York City." The Lloyd K. Garrison Lecture on Environmental Law was established in memory of Lloyd K. Garrison in 1995.

Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law is once again ranked #1 in the country for Environmental Law by the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings, released today. Haub Law was also ranked #13 in the nation for its trial advocacy program, placing it impressively among the top 10% of schools nationwide.

On March 22, 2024, friends and colleagues gathered together in person and virtually from across the globe for the dedication of the Nicholas A. Robinson Seminar Space at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Â̾ÞÈËÊÓƵ, a room dedicated to preserving and presenting decades of scholarship and legal resources from Professor Nicholas A. Robinson, a pioneer in the field of Environmental Law.
